In recent years, the desire for 'digital self-service' has increased dramatically. The gap between how candidates act and how traditional staffing agencies offer their services is large.

Research by Federgon (December 2021) shows that job seekers go through the beginning of the hiring process digitally in particular.

But... what happens in practice?

Research by HRlinkIT among 50 intermediaries in Belgium and the Netherlands reveals a large gap:

  • At 82% of recruitment agencies, profile enrichment is a manual process.
  • At 76%, pre-screening of candidates is done manually.
  • At 58%, matching vacancies with candidates is a manual process.
